Let’s talk about cake. I like cake. I like people not stealing my cake. In fact, I’d prefer it if no one ate my cake but me. Just give me a glass of milk and a week to finish it off.
Anyways, Pirate is a jerk.

Here’s a rule I live by: if it’s my birthday, I don’t work. That means I don’t go to class (unless I have an exam), I call in to work, and I generally have fun and relax. I don’t want to deal with anything on this special day of days.
That includes jerks running off with my cake and presents. That should be a hanging offense.

I’m combining a lot of topics today. To summarize: it’s my birthday, but also closing in on the 900th post for Pirate blog. That means 900 days of Pirate has already come and gone.That seems unreal to me, but I’m proud that I can back up memory with a picture of Pirate for every day I’ve lived.
Thank you all who read the blog for sticking with me — some of you right from the start, others only a few weeks ago. It’s sometimes tiring, sometimes demanding, sometimes exhausting to draw a picture a day and (try) to make it funny, but I hope I’ve been somewhat entertaining.
I was thinking about stopping Pirate Blog once I hit 1000 posts, or at least severely scaling down the frequency of my updates. It’s great to be able to say I did something concrete every day, but it’s also hard, sometimes stressful…but rewarding. I’m still not sure, but knowing some people read it helps a lot.
…You are out there, aren’t you? I know some of you by the likes you put on posts every day — thank you, and some because you’re family or friends. I do want this to be a fun little picture you can start (or end) you day with, and I want to share it with as many people as possible.
If I could have one wish, I guess I need to spend it on world peace, or at least a world not ruled by idiots. But if I get a second wish, I hope you’ll mention Pirate Blog to someone. Only if you think they’d be interested, and only if you feel like it, but it would make my day.
Four paragraphs is enough. I’m done talking, but hope you’re all having a great day, and here’s a wallpaper of Pirate doing what I feel like doing all the time: going on an adventure.

And just like that, the year has ended. 2015 had been a time of much sadness and a little bit of happiness, but mainly, I remember it all in days of Pirate.
One picture, every day (with one or two days I forgot to upload) for an entire year. That’s 365 pictures. And I plan to keep drawing next year as well.
I’ve got not a lot to say. This year has been eventful, and I believe next year will hold still more terrible and wonderful things. Let’s just witness them together, and I’ll be here with Pirate. Happy New Year!
PS: It’s Pirate’s birthday today. Maybe buy an apple and eat it for her.
Sometimes I wish I were the size of a salt shaker. Food would be a lot more plentiful then. Also, I suspect insects would be a lot more scary, but you can’t have everything. Knight’s a pretty talented individual: she can bake and fight with swords. Two very useful skill sets.
I wish for a cake as relatively big as that one.
How do you contribute to the party? Are you the drinks master, the snack buyer, or are you the thief in the night that steals whatever isn’t nailed to the floor? And how do you feel about yourself if you are that thief? Pirate, well, Pirate’s unrepentant. But she should feel guilty!
She’s not invited to any more birthdays.

How many pictures with stick people is too many pictures? Probably this one. But it’s about a universal truth: if you’re having a party, you’d better have enough cake for everyone.
