Fruit Saving

Snow and plants do not mix.

It snowed yesterday. Quite a bit, actually. It melted pretty quick too, and it didn’t stick to the streets. Normally I wouldn’t care much either way, but I’ve recently learned that snow at this time of year will hurt all the fruits that have just started growing. In short, a bad thing.

Let’s hope the snow hasn’t done too much damage to the fruits around here, or at least that the farmers know how to protect their crops. My idea was a giant umbrella…which tells me that I’m never going to be a farmer. Best stick to drawing pictures.

Knight Slopes

At least they didn’t install the ski lift.

Knight’s hair is weird. I’m just saying. I also hate skiing. Just saying. I fall over so many times while trying to ski that I might as well just be doing pushups in the snow. I hate winter sports.

Solar Warming

I like the warmth, but I hate the heat.

I really wish I could go into space. And breathe in space. And…you get the idea.

It’s pretty cold around here again. Winter storm warning, and tons of snow. Maybe I won’t make it to work tomorrow, maybe I will. Either way, it’s sort of cold.

Stupid Snow

If you can’t see your car, it’s a snow day.

There’s…a lot of snow outside right now. Winter weather advisory, all that good stuff. I might make it to work, and then again…

Anyways, I’m getting tired of snow. It was nice at first but shoveling it gets old really fast. Oh for the days when I was too young for work.

Snow Survival

Snow storms are bad news. Stay warm!

I hear the snow was really bad somewhere where I wasn’t. Seriously, I heard it got to 28 inches or more in some places. That’s a lot of snow to fall in one area. Also, it’s Pirate’s turn to be irrational — I think Knight’s smart enough to stay away from any kind of blizzard.

Slipshod

Ice is pain.

Fun fact: I like to run on a daily basis. Sometimes barefoot but in winter, I wear shoes. And when it’s icy, I slip. I’ve already sprained an ankle once, and believe me, it hurts. My point is that I hate ice. Snow I’m totally fine with. It’s fluffy. It looks nice. Ice can go take a hike.

Attack on Snow

Just grab a shovel guys.

Shoveling snow is hard work. Sometimes I wish I had one of those snow blowers, but why stop there? Flamethrowers, laser guns, bombs…I think I just want to get rid of the snow once and for all. You shovel it, and the next day it’s back. Annoying.

Weather Girl

This explains a lot, actually.

Or something like that. Anyways, it’s still really snowy outside. Time for me to buy a flamethrower. How much do they cost?

Winter Storm

It means stay indoors, or at least wear a jacket Pirate!

I’m starting to hate snow, at least when it comes in large quantities. Winter Storm Warning is in effect for my area, but you still have to go to work. Regardless, lots of snow means lots of cold, and I’m just not feeling it at the moment. Not sure how Pirate is surviving. She’s just tough.

Tree Hat

It’s green and stylish, but sort of heavy.
